Ewa Jakubowska

Ewa Jakubowska-Lorenz graduated from English Studies at the University of Warsaw. She is interested in sustainable development, postgrowth and social justice issues. For 8 years she was a reporter and presenter at the Polish Section of the BBC World Service (18 months in London). Subsequently, she got professionally involved with NGOs. She worked as spokesperson at Greenpeace Poland and as a communications specialist at ClientEarth Poland. For nearly 3 years she coordinated a project on resource extraction at a Polish NGO, the Institute of Global Responsibility. For one of her texts she received a price “Pen of Responsibility”. She completed the School of Human Rights at Helsinki Foundation, the NGO’s Trainers’ School and a course on public participation. She moderates debates and conducts trainings, mainly on media relations. At the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Warsaw she coordinates the Programme European Agricultural Policy.
