Our Foundation campaigns for energy supply that would ensure well-being of people and the environment, as well as safety and sustainability. The German energy transition, “Energiewende”, proves that a switch to renewables is attainable, stimulates employment and raises civic activism. The development of the democratic power industry might give an answer to the challenges resulting from the evolution to a low-carbon economy, the permanent reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and safe power supply.

The solutions presented in the publication are the result of workshops and meetings with the inhabitants of these towns.
