Zora Siebert leads the EU Democracy and Digital Policy Programme at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union in Brussels, bringing over 12 years of expertise to her role. Her focus lies at the critical juncture of civic rights in the digital sphere and strengthening democracy within the EU and its neighbourhood, ensuring that technological advancements serve both people and the planet. Previously, Zora worked in the team of a Member of the European Parliament, with a focus on data protection, IT security, and Artificial Intelligence. Zora is the co-lead of the Foundation’s Digital Policy Cluster.
Zora holds a French-German master degree in European Studies and International Relations from the Universities of Passau (Germany) and Strasbourg (France).
