Poland held parliamentary elections on 15 October.

This series of publications and interviews prepared by the hbs Warsaw Office explores various aspects of the elections in Poland. It focuses on strategic options to run in the elections, whether to cooperate or not with other parties and on the electoral changes the government has introduced. It also presents the features of pervasive populism in Poland and ways to attract new voters in such difficult political context. It explores the rule of law violations and a way forward to restore some of its basic features. The series also features on how the issues such as gender equality are (mis-) presented in the campaign and whether such salient issue is mobilizing voters.

A special attention is devoted to foreign and security policy - how Poland’s neighbors and EU institutions are portrayed by political parties on one hand and to the impact of the war in Ukraine on the other.
