Inna Nelles (née Borzylo) is a Ukrainian activist, expert in advocacy and strategic communication, and co-founder of the German-Ukrainian Bureau.
She worked as a journalist and TV presenter on Hromadske.TV and Ukraine’s public broadcaster. In 2020 she co-founded the Public Interest Journalism Lab – an interdisciplinary coalition of journalists and sociologists – which tackles polarization in Ukrainian society through the instruments of constructive journalism. From 2014-2020, Inna served as the CEO of the Center of United Actions – a think-tank and advocacy NGO in Ukraine. After the Revolution of Dignity, Inna was leading CHESNO Civil Movement – the strongest watchdog initiative towards elected authorities and political stakeholders in Ukraine. She used to be a member of the Council of the Reanimation Package of Reforms coalition – the largest civil society advocacy platform, which was the driving force behind numerous reforms.
Inna graduated from Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and holds a master’s degree in Public Relations.
