Míla O'Sullivan

Dr Míla O’Sullivan is a Researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague (IIR) with a primary focus on Feminist International Relations, specifically Feminist Security Studies. Her research interests include international gender equality norms, especially the UN’s Women, Peace and Security agenda, politics of location and feminist political economy of conflict. Through the lens of feminist institutionalism, she is currently researching the gendered nature of security institutions (NATO, the OSCE), foreign polices of Central European countries, and the conflict in Ukraine, including through extensive field research. Her work on these topics has been published in the International Feminist Journal of Politics, Gender & Politics and an edited volume published by Palgrave. She also serves as an academic advisor on gender in Czech foreign policy in various government and non-government bodies. Prior to joining academia, she did work on women’s rights in civil society.
