Paul studied Sociology and Slavic Studies at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena and the Jagiellonian University of Krakow, specialising in Acceleration Theory and Eastern European Affairs. He completed postgraduate studies in International Organisations and Crisis Management in Jena and Paris. In his commitment to German-Polish relations, Paul focuses on strengthening the ties at the level of civil society.
